Information You Provide Directly
Account information: name, email address, password
Property information: county, acreage, parcel ID or account number, property boundaries
Wildlife management activity logs: dates, activity types, notes, descriptions, and intensity details
Media uploads: photos and documents associated with your management activities
Uploaded documents: previous annual reports or Wildlife Management Plans submitted for onboarding
Information Collected Automatically
Device information: device type, operating system version, app version
Usage data: features accessed, session duration, and error logs - used to improve app performance
Location data: used only when you choose to pin an activity location on the map; we do not track your location in the background
Information from Third Parties
Authentication data: if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information (name, email) from those providers
Subscription data: RevenueCat provides us with subscription status information (active, expired, cancelled); we do not receive or store your payment card details
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Store your property details and activity logs
- Generate your annual reporting packet for submission to your County Appraisal District
- Display your compliance progress and deadline reminders
- Sync your data across your devices
- Process and manage your subscription
- Respond to support requests
- Improve the App's features and performance
- Send important account-related or compliance-related notifications (you may opt out of non-essential communications)
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal or property data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use Firebase (Google) for secure data storage and authentication, and RevenueCat for subscription management. These providers access only the data needed to perform their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- App stores: Apple and Google process your subscription payments and retain transaction records pursuant to their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
- Business transfers: In the event of a sale or merger, your data may transfer to the new owner, subject to the same privacy protections.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers through Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or maintaining subscription records).

You have the right to:
- Access and review the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information through the App settings
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Export your activity data (available through the annual report export feature)
- Opt out of non-essential communications by adjusting notification settings

8. Children's Privacy
1-D-1 Companion is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

The App may reference external resources (such as TPWD websites or county appraisal district portals). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites. We encourage you to review their policies before providing any personal information.
10. California and Other State Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion. 11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
